Faux Affably Evil

Faux Affably Evil is a villain similar to Affably Evil type but with lack sincerity to their affable and sympathetic nature. These villains are rarely, if ever wrathful or patronizing but they doesn't show any empathy towards others. They are sounding polite but not acting it, which causes their villainy to stand out more rather than less.

In some works Faux Affably Evil breaks the fourth wall and reveal their true nature to the audience, while trying to be nice in front of the protagonists. Arrogant villains who give sarcastic apologise to their opponents also fall under this category. However characters of the story might not be aware of Faux Affably Evil true colors until they reveal them.

Many Pure Evil fall under this category such as using flattery and elegant demeanor to get what they want and achieve their goals. Emperor Palpatine is a very famous example.
