Cruella De Vil is the main antagonist of Disney's One Hundred and One Dalmatians, as well as its sequels and live-action remake. Cruella is a wealthy heiress and former friends with Anita Radcliffe.
One Hundred and One DalmatiansEdit
At some point in the past, Cruella was classmates with Anita Radcliffe. In the present, Cruella comes to visit Anita and her husband Roger so she can see their Dalmations, Pongo and Perdita, and their puppies. Upon being informed that the puppies will not arrive for a few weeks, Cruella departs, saying that she will return in three weeks time.
Cruella eventually returns to the Radcliffes house after the fifteen puppies are born, requesting that she buy them all. The Radcliffes refuse to sell them, and an enraged Cruella vows vengeance. She later has her henchmen, Jasper and Horace, abduct the puppies, though she feigns surprise at the puppies disappearance. It is later revealed that Cruella had purchased eighty four Dalmation puppies, planning to kill them and use their fur as coats. After Sergeant Tibbs rescues the ninety nine puppies, Cruella and her men search for them in a village.
After locating the puppies boarding a lorry heading for London, Cruella pursues them in her car. In her rage, Cruella nearly rams the lorry off a cliff, but Jasper and Horace accidentally drive their own car into hers, sending them all plummeting off a cliff. The three survive, but Cruella is enraged at her plans having failed. She is later arrested, along with her men.
101 Dalmatians II: Patch's London AdventureEdit
Cruella returns as one of the main antagonists of the sequel. Having been released from jail, Cruella attempts to find a substitute for her fur obsession. She meets a German artist named Lars, and though his paintings initially serve to replace Cruella's obsession with fur coats, she eventually bores of them and schemes to recapture the dalmatian puppies.
Bailing Jasper and Horace out of jail, Cruella orders them to capture the dalmatians. They succeed, and the dalmatians are taken to Cruella's home. Lars, horrified when he learns that Cruella intends to turn the dalmatians into fur coats, refuses to have any part in her plan. Enraged, Cruella ties Lars to a large target and hurls knives at him as a form of torture. She then orders Jasper and Horace to kill the puppies so she can make a fur coat out of them.
Patch's hero, Thunderbolt, attempts to stop Cruella, but his partner, Lil' Lightning, betrays him, leading to his capture. The puppies manage to escape in a bus, but Thunderbolt is too ashamed to follow them. Cruella and the Baduns pursue the puppies through the city and manage to corner them in an alley, but Cruella is distracted by Thunderbolt faking a heart attack. She tries to kill Thunderbolt, but Patch puts the bus in reverse, chasing Cruella, Lil' Lightning and the Baduns into the river and subdued.
Cruella and her accomplices are promptly arrested, with a deranged Cruella being sent to psychiatric hospital to be treated for her obsessive disorder.
