Primal Dialga is the main antagonist (secondary counting the post game) of the second Pokémon Mystery Dungeon games Explorers of Time, Explorers of Darkness, & Explorers of Sky. He is the ruler of time who became corrupted after his domain, The Temporal Tower, was destroyed. The player Pokémon, transformed from a human by an attack from [[Darkrai]], and their partner are dragged to the future by Dusknoir alongside the supposed time gear thief, Grovyle. In this bleak future where all time froze, the two protagonists discover that Dusknoir was a servant of this corrupted Dialga all along, and Grovyle was collecting the time gears in order to save the future. With the eventual aid of Celebi, the three of them make it back to the present. The player, partner and Grovyle face off with Dusknoir and his squad of Sableye one last time at the end of the Hidden Land before Grovyle is dragged back to the future, leaving the time gears for the two protagonists. After this, said protagonists climb temporal tower, defeat Primal Dialga, place the time gears in their slots, and restores both the flow of time and Dialga to their previous states. In the postgame, Dialga, with newly regained reason, can be recruited to the player's rescue team, guaranteed to join if they win.
