The Prophet of Truth is the secondary antagonist of the original Halo trilogy making his first official appearance as the bigger bad of Halo 2. He is one of the 3 High Prophets of the Covenant Empire (the other 2 being The Prophet of Regret and The Prophet of Mercy) and the leader of the war against humanity. 

History[]

Halo 2[]

The Prophet of Truth appears for the first time in the trial of Thel Vadame, where he was already the most dominant among the Hierachs and he made Thel the new Arbiter of the Alliance. Soon after, he fulfills his mission to assassinate Sesa Refumee and his heretical followers after the assassination of the High Prophet of Regret, with which Truth organized a plan to overthrow the Elites with the Brutes. 

After capturing 343 Guilty Spark, he then sends Thel to then retrieve the Index a sacred icon of the Flood and Forerunner Sentinels. Truth soon has Index in his hand as John 117 infiltrates High Charity, Truth escapes along with Mercy and then orders his Brutes to kill him. John's biggest goal was to get Truth Index, soon after Truth came alongside Phantoms with Mercy and Tartarus. He gave the Index to Tartarus to begin Great Journey, then Truth left the High Charity left the High Charity to lead the forces against the invasion of Earth.

Halo 3[]

On Earth, Truth appeared leading a fleet that he ends up giving a hint to the UNSC force that they would soon die in the fire. Truth holograms were spread all over the place in the game missions that involved the Covenant that where Covenant preached and used its words until an enemy attacked them. Truth then appears in the Covenant and captures Sergeant Johnson and used it to fire the Halo Array, he then after killed Miranda Keyes with a Brute Spiker. After soon followed, both John 117 and Thel confronted him to Truth and prevented him from activating the rings, then Thel retaliated by impaling Truth once and for all so killing him.

Halo 3: ODST[]

Truth also assembled a rough fleet to attack New Mombasa, in which the ODST were mobilized and ordered to kill the remaining elites' captains, as well as the humans as well.
